Who I am....
 First, I want to give you a little background on myself and what brought me to the realization that I wanted more out of life than working a mediocre job for a company that didn't appreciate me and living from paycheck-to-paycheck. Where I live (Monroe, WA), the cost of living is high and only getting higher, all the while, my 9-to-5 job paychecks
lay still and lifeless (my boss is a cheap sucker!). I'm guessing that
you may be in the same boat and that's why you are still reading.
Albert Einstein said that the definition of insanity is "doing the same
thing over and over again and expecting different results."
I'm 42 years old, married 20 years and have a 17 year old son, Isaac.
I've been in web design for about 10 years, computer work, in general, since 1984. I have been working for the same company for going on seven years now and
decided I needed to do something different if I wanted the
different result I was yearning for. I found my answer in online e-business,
drop shipping and affiliate work.
I also run the Small Biz Blog, a blog dedicated to anything small business.
What is Drop Shipping and Stockless
Reselling?
In a nutshell, a stockless
retailer has a virtual, online store that sells product,
but has no warehouse, carries no stock and does not
ship. Huh? Let me explain. By participating in a way of
doing business called drop shipping, you can make money
selling products that you may never even see in person.
You start out by
learning all you can about doing business online and
how to go about getting things rolling. You then
find that you want to sell blue widgets (something
you've
researched and discovered would be in high demand).
You find a drop ship company that deals in blue
widgets. You make a deal with them to sell their product
online. You get a business license, set up a web site,
and list the products, their descriptions, pictures and
prices. Your web site lists each blue widget as costing
$35.95 plus $6.00 shipping. Now, the warehouse/drop
shipper will sell you blue widgets for $10.95 each and
ship it out for $6.00. You post the web site live on the
Internet and do some marketing.
You're all ready to go!
You get a customer who finds your site and is very
interested in your wares. He purchases a dozen blue
widgets at your list price of $35.95 each. Through the
merchant account you've set up to take online payments
securely, that money plus the shipping goes directly
into your bank account. You in turn take the order and
pass it along to the drop shipper. He charges you his
cost plus the shipping and promptly ships the blue
widgets to your customer. The customers receives his
package and is a very happy camper!
To sum up, you charged $35.95 x 12 plus $6.00 shipping.
The drop shipper charged you $10.95 x 12 plus $6.00
shipping (which you passed along to the customer, so it
cancels itself out). You just
made a profit of $300.00 and can now take
your wife on that wonderful overnight trip to Vancouver,
BC on the Victoria Clipper (I live in the Seattle area,
obviously)! Throughout this entire process, you never
saw a blue widget and never touched a box. Not bad for a
$300.00 profit! Now, image doing that daily, many times
over and over and....well, you get the picture.

A Warning To Heed
Real Wholesalers DO NOT advertise on the Internet. The
reason is that they have many large accounts at
retailers around the country and, unfortunately, feel
that advertising to smaller businesses is not worth the
extra money or time. In my opinion that is a good thing
although it may not look like it. The reason being,
that, if you find a wholesaler through Google, Yahoo,
MSN or whatever, chances are that they are a Middleman
or scammer. Run away. That helps you narrow down the
good from the bad. On the Internet = BAD.
That is why you are going to have to approach them. Most
of them are more than willing to work with you and your
online business, so don't feel intimidated. It's not
that they don't want to work with you, it's just that they do
not feel the need to advertise since they already are
enjoying the profits from huge retail accounts around
the world.

I know what strife a lack of money and
personal freedom caused in my life. I hate the thought
of anyone else being in that position and if I can help,
I want to. It sure is nice when you simply do not have
to worry about it and personally speaking, I believe I'm on my way. The
hardest step to take when doing anything outside our
immediate comfort zone is to start something. Don't let anything
stop you from taking that first step.
 So,
